This project was a valuable lesson in time management and prioritization. I explored a range of new technologies and techniques, while learning how to balance experimentation with realistic project deadlines. The experience proved highly enriching and strengthened my approach to planning and decision-making.
I gained hands-on experience with SvelteKit and Nuxt, but through this project I confirmed that React and Next.js are my preferred tools for web development. Their flexibility and ecosystem align best with the way I like to build and scale projects.
While working on ListenUp, I also developed a growing interest in backend development. Designing the database structure and creating the ERD pushed me to think critically about data architecture and relationships. This sparked a deeper appreciation for the backend and motivated me to explore it further in future projects.
